DK.Shivakumar torning text copy which had Kempegowda chapter is wrong - Min.Ashok
Tearing a copy of the revised text with chapter on Kempegowda by KPCC president DK.Shivakumar is wrong, said revenue minister R.Ashok expressing his displeasure.
He was speaking at a press conference on Thursday in VidhanaSouda. In Saturday's protest in Freedom Park, KPCC president D.K.Shivakumar should not have torn down the revised text. It had Kempegowda's chapter, was it right to tearing it down? asks minister Ashok.
Instead he would have torn the text made by Bagarooru Ramachandrappa. That didn't had text about Kepe Gowda, neither had his picture. Now, in the revised texts have KempeGowda's history. Was it right tearing it down? I want to ask, said revenue minister.
Talking about text books in Congress regime minister Ashok said, "for them, Hindu shouldn't be there, Hindu Ocean shouldn't be there, Hindu gods name shouldn't be there, freedom fighters name shouldn't be there. Children should learn more about Gazni Mohamod, Aurangageb, Khilzi, Tippu, Hydaraali. Siddaramaiah governament kept on doing it. We have removed it. We have given a text reflecting Indian heritage, Indian culture, said min. Ashok strongly defended the textbook revision.
